Hangin Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and Hangin, Inc. (“Hangin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of Hangin’s products, services, beta experiences, text-based features, local recommendations, streams, drops, side quests, creator/merchant/venue experiences, mobile experiences, and other services we make available from time to time (collectively, the “Services” or “Platform”).

By using the Services, joining our beta, texting Hangin, participating in a stream, submitting content, or otherwise interacting with the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

What Hangin does

What Hangin does

Hangin is a neighborhood TV and local discovery platform that helps people discover real-world moments, local streams, events, drops, side quests, venues, creators, merchants, and experiences.

Our services may include:

Hangin is currently in an early-stage beta phase. Features may change, break, be delayed, or be discontinued at any time.

Eligiblity

To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

The Services may be offered as a private beta, limited release, invite-only experience, waitlist-based rollout, or experimental product.

Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, or subject to change. We may add, remove, pause, or modify beta features at any time.

Joining the waitlist or receiving beta access does not guarantee continued access to the Services.

Text messages and communication

Hangin may allow users to interact with us through text message, iMessage, SMS, email, social media, or other communication channels.

By providing your phone number or opting into text-based communication, you consent to receive messages from Hangin, including messages related to:

[E] Support and administrative messages

[F] Promotional or marketing messages, where permitted by law

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.

Where required, you may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP or by contacting us at hey@hangin.tv. You may request help by replying HELP or emailing us.

We do not guarantee that text-based recommendations, updates, or responses will be accurate, complete, available, or timely.

Local information and recommendations

Local information and recommendations

Hangin may use human curation, public information, creator submissions, merchant updates, partner data, third-party tools, artificial intelligence, or automated systems to provide local recommendations, discovery, and responses.

You understand that local information can change quickly. Events may sell out, be cancelled, change times, change locations, or include errors in public listings. Venue hours, pricing, availability, and access rules may also change.

Hangin does not guarantee that any local recommendation, event listing, venue detail, stream, merchant update, product, drop, or experience is accurate, available, safe, legal, suitable, or right for you.

You should verify important details directly with the venue, organizer, merchant, creator, or other relevant third party before relying on them.

You are responsible for your own decisions, travel, purchases, attendance, safety, and interactions with other people or businesses.

AI-assisted features

AI-assisted features

Hangin may use artificial intelligence, automated tools, or other software systems to help provide recommendations, summaries, responses, categorization, personalization, moderation, or support.

AI-assisted outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable. They may not reflect real-world conditions, current availability, safety, or your personal needs.

You should not rely on AI-assisted outputs for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions.

You are responsible for evaluating and verifying information before relying on it.

User content

User content

You may submit, upload, text, post, or otherwise provide content to Hangin, including messages, photos, videos, feedback, comments, social handles, reviews, suggestions, ideas, preferences, or other materials (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights you grant us below.

By providing User Content, you grant Hangin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, perform, distribute, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content for the purpose of operating, improving, marketing, and promoting Hangin and the Services.

This may include using User Content in:

[6] Beta research and product improvement

You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide your User Content and grant this license.

You may not submit User Content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, misleading, spammy, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful.

We may remove or restrict User Content at any time.

Feedback and ideas

If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback, concepts, feature requests, business ideas, designs, or other recommendations, you agree that Hangin may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

This helps us build openly with our community while avoiding confusion over ownership of product ideas or improvements.

Creator, merchant, venue, and third-party experiences

Creator, merchant, venue, and third-party experiences

Hangin may feature, promote, recommend, link to, partner with, or integrate creators, merchants, venues, brands, events, products, services, or third-party experiences.

Unless we clearly state otherwise, Hangin does not own, operate, control, or guarantee third-party experiences.

We are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, policies, actions, availability, accuracy, pricing, safety, refunds, cancellations, or practices.

Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and those third parties.

Payments, purchases, and promotions

Payments, purchases, and promotions

Hangin may currently offer certain parts of the Platform for free. In the future, Hangin may offer paid features, subscriptions, ticketing, commerce, drops, sponsored experiences, creator products, merchant offers, or other paid services.

If we offer paid services, additional payment terms may apply. We may use third-party payment processors and may not directly collect or store your full payment information.

All prices, offers, rewards, drops, promotions, or availability may change at any time.

Unless otherwise stated, Hangin does not guarantee refunds for third-party purchases, event tickets, merchant products, creator offerings, or venue experiences.

Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information;

Scrape, crawl, copy, or extract data from the Platform without permission;
Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from any part of the Platform;
Use automated systems to access or overload the Platform;
Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code;
Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
Use Hangin to promote violence, hate, self-harm, illegal substances, weapons, exploitation, or dangerous activity;
Use Hangin for spam, scams, phishing, fraud, or deceptive commercial practices;
Use Hangin in a way that damages our reputation, business, users, partners, creators, merchants, venues, or community.

We may investigate and take action against violations, including removing content, restricting access, terminating accounts, or cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.

Intellectual property

The Platform, including the Hangin name, logo, brand, design, website, software, copy, graphics, videos, clips, editorial content, product concepts, user interface, and other materials, is owned by Hangin or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Hangin’s intellectual property.

If we provide account access, beta access, login links, invite codes, or other credentials, you are responsible for keeping them secure.

You may not share your account, login link, or access credentials with others without permission.

You may stop using Hangin at any time.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe that:

Providing the Platform is no longer commercially viable;
We decide to discontinue or change the Platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hangin’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

The amount you paid to Hangin, if any, in the three months before the event giving rise to claim; or

Attorney note: Add arbitration, class action waiver, jury trial waiver, and opt-out mechanics only after legal review. These clauses can be useful but need to be drafted carefully for enforceability.
